Depression: From the Past to the Present

Spiritual well-being is an essential and inviolable component of overall health, but mental disorders are still a topic that cause biases and stereotypes among many people.  The goal of the exhibition “Depression: From the Past to the Present” is to offer a look at the historical aspects of this topic, thus facilitating public understanding about mental health and depression, also calling on people to focus more on their own mental health and those of others, thus reducing myths and biases that relate to depression, which is one of the most common mental disorders in Latvia and the European Union as a whole.  The exhibition will be open at the museum until September 30, 2018, and it has been organised with European Social Fund financing from Project No, “Complex Events to Promote Health and Prevent Diseases.”
